Lake in the Woods Condominium is a one hundred forty (140) home Condominium Association arranged in thirty-nine (39) buildings governed by a Board of Administration who meet as needed to administer the community.

HURRICANE IRMA UPDATE

September 2017: Hurricane Irma Strikes

October 2017: Insurance company visits site

December 2017: Initial offer from Insurance company is received

January 2018: Property is reinspected

May 2018: Settlement with insurance company

June 2018: Vendors are solicited for repair project

July 2018: Masimo Construction selected and and contract for repairs signed

August 2018: Reconstruction begins and is scheduled by phases

Phase I: 1915, 1901, 1910, 1924, 1930, 1934

Phase II: 1810, 1820, 1840, 1860

Phase II: 1950, 1954, 1960

Phase IV: 1965, 1975, 1980

Phase V: 1907, 1927, 1947, 1967

September 2018: All phases are under way and in progress.

October 2018: Phases I, III & IV are completed. Phases II & V are still being worked on.

December 2018: All phases are completed and final walkthroughs/punchouts are being conducted.

Notes:

All cars must be removed from front of buildings as the crews work to repair the roofs.

Satellite dishes on roofs will be removed. Per the insurance – satellite dishes cannot be installed on roofs once the new roofs are replaced. Satellite dishes will have to be relocated and this is a home owner cost not an association cost.

When the project is complete, notice will go to all owners to do a final walk-through for any and all unfinished work including any interior damage.

Landscaping, painting, exterior misc. repairs will be addressed at the end of the project.

CURRENTLY THERE HAS NOT BEEN ANY SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS, HOWEVER IT MAY BE NECESSARY TO LEVY A SPECIAL ASSESSMENT TO COMPLETE THE PROJECT. YOU ARE ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND THE BOARD MEETINGS TO LEARN MORE ABOUT THE PROJECT AND ITS STATUS.
